In exactly one week I’ll be back in the hospital finishing my long overdue internal medicine rotation. I have a bunch of mixed feelings about it but for now, I’m going to enjoy my Whistler stay-cation!
Our first stop was Bearfoot Bistro for happy hour and oh my god, I was blown away by my experience here. Their happy hour oysters were only $16 for a dozen, regularly $19 for 6, so this was an absolute steal. They were the so fresh, so juicy, so plump and everything you can imagine to be the perfect oysters. Even better was the wagyu beef carpaccio which was masterfully balanced with oyster mushrooms, leek ash and truffle aioli. Honestly can say this was 10/10, one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Even their daily cocktail, Bee’s Knees, was refreshing and a pleasure to sip. I’m actually really sad we didn’t eat dinner here since we had other reservations already planned.. we would’ve gone back again but they’re closed Monday and Tuesday so we’ll have to save their entrées for another occasion. Overall I would say this is a must try when you’re in Whistler and absolutely worth the heftier price tag!
